100% Tie-Off Scaffold Status

Introducing a new scaffold status to sit alongside green and red: yellow.

When a scaffold is marked as requiring 100% tie-off, anyone viewing the scaffold will see a clear yellow status: "Safe only while 100% tied off to approved fall-arrest"

Here's how it works:

• Mark any individual scaffold as 100% tie-off required when creating or editing it
• Once the scaffold passes inspection, its status displays yellow instead of green
• If an inspection is coming up, the amber "upcoming inspection" status carries the same tie-off message, so the requirement is never lost
• Unsafe and overdue scaffolds still show red in all scenarios, no exceptions

Workers scanning a tag see the tie-off requirement immediately, before they step onto the scaffold. No ambiguity, no relying on word of mouth.

Because "safe to use" and "safe under conditions" are not the same thing, and your scaffold status should say so.

Admin Controls for 100% Tie-Off

Configure tie-off requirements to match your business requirements.

This feature is entirely opt-in, and you control it from the Admin Portal under:

Settings → Scaffolds & Inspections → Scaffolds

Two new settings are available:

• Enable 100% tie-off option: adds a 100% tie-off field to your scaffold records, allowing users to mark individual scaffolds as requiring workers to remain tied off
• Default 100% tie-off to on for new scaffolds: when enabled, every new scaffold defaults to 100% tie-off required; users can still change this when creating or editing a scaffold

If your sites don't use conditional tagging, nothing changes — leave the setting off and Scafflinq works exactly as it does today.
